Hopefully people will be save if they live close by and that production will be able to begin soon again!
The fast-moving Southern California wildfires on Tuesday have affected filming on HBO’s Westworld, ET has learned.
The show is currently in production on season two, which is expected to premiere sometime in 2018. In a statement on Tuesday, a rep for HBO confirmed the shutdown.
“Due to nearby wildfires, Westworld stopped production earlier today and will resume filming as soon as it’s safe to do so,” the statement reads.
Thousands of Southern Californians fled their homes Tuesday as a massive brush fire spread through parts of Ventura County. The fires have been largely fueled by strong Santa Ana winds, which are expected to last until Thursday. CNN reports that the fire had grown to 50,000 acres by Tuesday afternoon.
